We set-up an extensive dealer network in Latin America, as well as added several new Regional Sales Managers in the U.S. and Canadian markets.
Spanco launches the SPANCO360 Tiered Dealer Program to reward dealers based on Sales, Loyalty, Technical Capabilities, and Marketing Engagement. We also increased our warranty to 10 years on all manual products.
Spanco doubles the size of its Las Vegas factory to keep up with growing demand, and releases a major upgrade of our Lift-Lab online pricing configurator.
Spanco, Inc. earns the prestigious Certified Welding Fabricator (CWF) designation from the American Welding Society (AWS) for our comprehensive quality management systems for welding fabrication.
Our new manufacturing facility opens in Las Vegas, Nevada, to accommodate consistent growth and serve our customers on the West Coast.
We introduce rigid track fall protection systems under a new Rigid Lifelines® division. Our engineers develop a line of Spanco Tractor Drives for I-beam and enclosed track systems, as well as retrofit drives for jib cranes.
We build a 95,000-square-foot manufacturing facility on the edge of Pennsylvania’s Amish country in Morgantown, PA. Today, the Morgantown facility is Spanco headquarters and our core manufacturing facility. We also introduce workstation cranes that use imported Met-Track™ from Helm in Germany via Metreel in England.
Richard Uhlig founds Spanco, Inc. in Downingtown, Pennsylvania. We start by manufacturing a small line of Spanco Adjustable Gantry Cranes and Tripod Cranes. As the business takes off, we add Spanco Jib Cranes and Workstation Bridge Cranes.
George Uhlig (Richard Uhlig’s father) invents the first truly safe cable lever ratchet hoist with an interlocking double-pawl ratchet system to ensure that one pawl always holds the load. Today, LUG-ALL® manual hoists are used worldwide by professionals for safe, smooth, precise lifting and pulling.
